| I think that instead of a bunch of seperate threads about anime/manga/j-music/whatever it'd be cool to have one thread where all the crazy otakus gather, and can be free to be weeaboos to their heart's content. So yeah, feel free to discuss any anime, manga, cosplay, j-pop/rock/Vocaloid/whatever, other Japan related things here.
I guess I may as well start off by asking, what's your favorite anime? I personally have a hard time choosing, but I do really adore Soul Eater. It's probably the anime and manga that I've stuck with keeping up with the longest.

| I'm fine with this. Keeps all Weeaboos in one place. Makes for easier targets. |

Such a burn. xD Anyway, I don't watch much anime, but I am getting into manga. I've started reading Inuyasha, Death Note, Bleach, Fruits Basket (yes, Fruits Basket), and Fullmetal Alchemist. I also read the first two volumes of Loveless, but I despised them. Do you know of any good mang/anime, Aqua? |

| All those mangas that you're reading are pretty good, I say you should stick with them! And omg, I can't stand Loveless either. You're like, the first person I've met online who doesn't like it lol. I just could watch or read it, something about it really turned me off. D: For shounen, I would suggest reading Soul Eater, and if you're into shoujo too, Dengeki Daisy is a pretty good read. For anime, I would suggest Soul Eater once again, and Fractale and FLCL. Both Fractale and FLCL are pretty short, but good And I still need to watch Star Driver lololol |

If you're gonna go with guy's manga, Rurouni Kenshin and Ranma 1/2 are great starting points. I don't know many new titles, as I kinda stopped reading much manga when RuroKen ended, to tell the truth. Anime........................... Sengoku Basara, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Star Driver, Rurouni Kenshin, Record of Lodoss War, and Gankutsuo are all good titles. I've been meaning to watch Soul Eater, it's made by the same people who did Sengoku Basara and Star Driver, both of which are fantastic. |

Oh yeah, I also heard about Ranma 1/2 and have been looking into reading that as well. Thanks for all the suggestions, guys, I'll definitely look into them. And I agree with you about Loveless, Aqua. Something about it was... I dunno. It was kind of creepy. O_o |

| Weeaboo thread? YES. Some of my favourite animes are Gurren Lagann, (Obviously) Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, Death Note, Code Geass, Gantz, Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. I don't really read manga much but I enjoy watching anime! Some of my favourite games are Japanese too, FF7, OoT, Street Fighter, etc.
Awesome thread is awesome. _________________ |

| The only reason I could never get into anime is for the same reason I'm intimidated by ARG's. If you join late, forget understanding anything unless you want to spend a week doing nothing but catching up on the story.
I remember watching the first episode of Bleach. It seemed pretty cool and thought "Hell, I could get into this!" but I never watched it that much since then. Yesterday I was watching it and everyone is dressed in black and they like... punch each other in the forehead and go into some soul demension or something and sometimes they can fly, and I'm just sitting there thinking "WTF IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW?!?"
Someone tell me when an anime premieres and I'll start watching it.
I've never liked manga because I still can't figure out what direction to read it in. I'm not even joking. Is it like

Or something?! It's always so god damn confusing. Plus, same thing as shows, I don't like having to catch up with the story when I jump in in the middle. It's difficult when there's a LOT to read about. |

| Hey, I am looking into reading a new manga.
I like most of them I read, however, I don't like to read manga that focuses on love. I really like the action-packed ones, but not too action packed, you know? Does anyone have any recommendation for a manga that is not mainstream for me? |

| Anime is touch and go for me. I can't stay consistent and a lot of anime I end up disliking. There are either far too many fillers, or it gets over-dramatic (Bleach). Some of the older anime I don't mind watching though, like Project Ako from the 80s. If it is in movie form I can stand it. The only anime you can say I watch is some of the stuff they put on AdultSwim. FullMetal and The Big-O are the best on the station in my opinion. My favorite is still Dragonball though. The movies for it are fantastic, and there aren't too many fillers. It does get ridiculous at times though (i.e. charge spirit bomb for three episodes). Oh, and I don't read manga. I generally don't read anyways . |

xDD It's like regular English comic books, except right to left. So, depending on the page, it could go straight across from the right to the left, or upper right hand corner down to the lower left hand corner. Here's a handy dandy diagram: |

| Gah i missed the opening!!! Well, i've always had a soft spot for Death Note and Sailor moon (yes, that would indeed be a weeaboo face there TR XD) I've also watched/ read Bleach, School Days, Fruits Basket, Loveless, Naruto (don't care for it much though), Pokémon, and some of Panty and Stocking (only watched it because it reminds me of ponies, but that's another thread XD) *sigh* Long list! Can't wait to talk to everyone about anime though! |

| Generally speaking, I don't like anime or manga.
However, there are exceptions. Right now, I'm watching Digimon Tamers again (which I haven't seen in almost ten years when it first aired) and I plan to also watch Adventure 02 since it's also on Hulu.
Also, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z are so ridiculous that it's awesome. |
